shopVOX pricing in 2026 and what a sign shop really pays per month

shopVOX pricing in 2026 starts at $109 per month for Express and $249 per month for PRO. Each subscription includes one user. Every additional full user costs $29 per month on Express and $49 per month on PRO, so a shop with five logins pays $225 on Express or $445 on PRO before add-ons. PRO onboarding packages start at $499.

Those figures come from the shopVOX pricing page at the time of writing, so check it for current numbers before you budget. The base price is the small part of the bill for most shops. Below is the math by shop size, the add-ons that carry their own monthly fee, and how the total compares with flat-price sign estimating software where seats are included.

shopVOX Express and PRO prices at a glance

shopVOX sells two plans. Both are billed monthly, and the pricing page shows no yearly discount.

shopVOX Express shopVOX PRO
Base price $109 per month $249 per month
Users included 1 1
Each additional full user $29 per month $49 per month
Onboarding No onboarding fees Packages starting at $499
How you start 14-day trial with full access Demo with the sales team
Positioned for Shops with fewer than 10 employees that do not need advanced features Shops that need customizable products, inventory, e-commerce or CRM
Typical setup time Self-guided 8 to 12 weeks on average, by shopVOX's own estimate

A "user" in shopVOX terms is a login. PRO also has a free "scheduling user", which is a name on the job board roster with no login of its own. That matters for production staff: a fabricator who only needs to appear on the schedule does not add to the bill, while an estimator, a salesperson or an office manager does.

What shopVOX costs per month by number of logins

The formula is simple: base price plus the per-user price times every login after the first. Count logins, not employees.

Full users Express per month Express per year PRO per month PRO per year
1 $109 $1,308 $249 $2,988
3 $167 $2,004 $347 $4,164
5 $225 $2,700 $445 $5,340
10 $370 $4,440 $690 $8,280
15 $515 $6,180 $935 $11,220
20 $660 $7,920 $1,180 $14,160

shopVOX's own example says a small shop of five employees pays about $2,000 a year on Express. That lines up with three logins in the table ($2,004), which is a fair picture of a five-person shop where two people work on the floor and never open the software. If all five need to quote, check proofs or update jobs, budget $2,700.

The step that surprises owners is the move from Express to PRO. A ten-login shop goes from $370 to $690 a month, an extra $3,840 a year, before any PRO add-on is switched on.

Add-ons that carry their own monthly fee

The plan price covers quoting, job management, online proofing and the accounting integrations. Several features on the pricing page are listed as paid add-ons.

Add-on Listed price
Inventory Management $299 per month plus a $999 setup fee
E-Commerce $199 per month per 100 orders plus a $299 setup fee
Webhooks $250 per month
Multi Currency $100 per month
smartWrap $99 per month
Amazon S3 storage $50 per month
Service Jobs $49 per month
Divisions (multi location) Contact billing

Two of these change the budget for a typical sign shop. A shop that wants stock levels on aluminum, acrylic and LED modules adds $299 a month and $999 up front for inventory. A shop with two branches has to ask for a divisions price. A ten-login PRO shop with inventory lands at $989 a month, or $11,868 a year plus setup and onboarding.

The first-year cost of shopVOX for three real shop shapes

Monthly price hides one-time fees. Here is the first year added up for three shops, using list prices only. For the same math across shopVOX, Sign-Tracker, Sign OS and other tools, see our sign shop software cost comparison.

Shop Plan and add-ons Monthly One-time fees First-year total
Owner-operator, 1 login Express $109 $0 $1,308
6 people, 4 logins Express $196 $0 $2,352
14 people, 8 logins, stock tracking PRO plus Inventory Management $891 $999 setup plus onboarding from $499 From $12,190

There is a second cost that never shows on an invoice, which is the time to get live. shopVOX says PRO takes 8 to 12 weeks on average and that it has seen anywhere from a few days to six months. Someone in your shop spends those weeks building products and pricing instead of selling. At a loaded $35 an hour and five hours a week for ten weeks, that is another $1,750 of your own labor.

Software is also only one line of the office stack. Most shops still pay separately for accounting, and some add a tool to chase overdue invoices once deposits and final payments start slipping. Add those up before you decide what a quoting system is allowed to cost.

Is shopVOX worth the price for a sign shop?

For the right shop, yes. shopVOX is a full shop management platform, and a 15-person company that uses its quoting, proofing, job board, CRM and purchasing every day gets a lot for roughly $900 a month. Its support runs by live chat 24 hours a day, five days a week, and PRO customers get an implementation specialist.

It is harder to justify in three situations.

  • You mainly need quotes. If the pain is an estimate that takes two hours and still misses the lift rental, you are paying for a suite to fix one step.
  • You are growing. Every estimator, salesperson or office hire raises the bill by $29 or $49 a month, forever. Owners on sign forums have reported bills climbing sharply as seats and plan changes stacked up.
  • You cannot spare the setup. Two to three months of part-time configuration is real money for a shop where the owner is also the estimator.

shopVOX pricing compared with a flat plan

SignEstimator is our product, so read this with that in mind. It is sign estimating and quoting software with production and install tools on the Team plan. The price model is the opposite of per-user: each plan has a flat price with seats included, and yearly billing halves it.

Logins shopVOX Express shopVOX PRO SignEstimator plan SignEstimator billed monthly SignEstimator billed yearly, per month
1 $109 $249 Solo $49 $24
5 $225 $445 Shop $149 $74
15 $515 $935 Team $399 $199
20 $660 $1,180 Team $399 $199

What you get for that is narrower and deeper. Estimates are built from sign templates for channel letters, cabinets, monuments, pylons, banners, wraps and wayfinding, with LED modules and power supplies counted, sheets nested, machine hours priced from your rates, and install priced by crew, lift or crane class, travel and permits. AI reads a photo, drawing, PDF or email into a draft spec, and your own rates set the price. There is no onboarding fee, and inventory, purchase orders and job costing are part of Team instead of an add-on.

What you do not get is a like-for-like copy of a full suite. shopVOX has e-commerce storefronts and a longer list of integrations. If those run your business, price them in. The full breakdown is on our shopVOX alternative page, and every plan is listed on sign estimating software pricing.

Seven questions to ask before you sign up for shopVOX

Whatever you choose, get these answered in writing first.

  1. How many of my people need a full login, and how many can be free scheduling users?
  2. Which features I saw in the demo are add-ons, and what does each cost per month?
  3. Which onboarding package do I need, and what is its total price?
  4. How long did setup take for the last three shops my size?
  5. When did list prices last change, and how much notice do customers get?
  6. Can I export my customers, quotes and products if I leave?
  7. What does the bill look like if I add three people next year?

Run the same seven questions past every vendor on your list. If you are comparing older installed systems too, our Cyrious Control alternative page covers that one, and the best sign shop software guide compares the categories.

Price one of your own jobs before you pick a plan

A price table tells you what software costs. It does not tell you whether the quotes it produces are right. Describe a job you priced last week or upload the photo the customer sent, and SignEstimator returns the line items, the sale price and the margin in about a minute, with no account needed for the first one.
